On Valentine's Day in 1975, Artesian Shoren was born to Greta Shoren and Albert Shoren. While Artesian was growing up as a child, he had a speech impediment that bothered him greatly. He was often teased and ridiculed by other children. This ridicule caused him to become shy and withdrawn. During this time, he developed his skills for drawing and creating works of art.

One day, one of Artesian's teachers discovered his talent. This teacher encouraged Artesian to display his artwork in a local art contest. This took some doing on the teacher's part because Artesian was so shy. Artesian won the art contest. This contest launched Artesian into the public eye, gaining him statewide attention.

Artesian was still very shy because of his speech impediment. Bervin Rowe, a basketball star in the Maddocha Basketball League wanted someone to do a portrait of him. He chose Artesian. Artesian was reluctant because his speech impediment grew worse whenever he tried to talk when he was nervous. Bervin told Artesian that instead of paying Artesian money, Bervin paid for speech therapy for Artesian. This was the beginning of Artesian's artistic career as a professional artist. Artesian began receiving calls from famous athletes and well-known people all over Maddocha to do drawing and other artwork.

Artesian continues to be one of the most widely sought after artists in Maddocha. In his spare time, he works with other children who have speech impediments. He is currently a student at Ylaya College in Freling.
